Get to Know Her: Maragatham Sundaresan
Picture
Maragatham Sundaresan (aka "Maragatham Mani") is the lead teacher offering her services. She is a Sanskrit teacher, Sloka teacher, Carnatic musician, and Natya Shastra expert.

​She completed her Bachelor's, Master's, and MPhil in Sanskrit from the University of Madras and taught Sanskrit to high school students in Chennai before arriving in US in 1988. She continued to teach Sanskrit in the Washington DC area through the Chinmaya Mission, trained under Swamy Chinmayananda. She also pursued Carnatic music, singing for dance performances, and composing Sanskrit compositions

In 2003, she moved to the Chicago area where she continues to teach Sanskrit at Chinmaya Mission, Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago, Samskrta Bharati, and to both children and adults. 
For people not in the vicinity, she has broadened her horizons by teaching online.

UnnatiLok is dedicated to preserving and sharing ancient Indian wisdom through Sanskrit learning, sloka chanting, bhajans, Carnatic music, and cultural arts education for all ages.
